Discover Boating fees are a requirement of membership for Boat Manufacturers Division (BMD), Engine Manufacturers Division (EMD) & Marine Accessories and Components Division (MACD) members. They are an essential component of NMMA’s strategy to expand the market and grow boating. Discover Boating’s mission to recruit the next generation of boaters while retaining current owners engages boaters is achieved through year-round experiences, marketing, PR and digital communities as well as boat shows. By uniting NMMA member companies, Discover Boating achieves together what we might not accomplish alone, addressing challenges and seizing opportunities to grow that are beyond the reach of a single entity. Each member’s contribution is invaluable, serving as a crucial piece of our industry’s ability to pave the way for a future that benefits members’ business growth.

Discover Boating Accessory and Components Contribution Model

MACD contributes an amount equal to their NMMA membership dues.

Discover Boating Engine and Boat Contribution Model

BMD members pay an assessment based on engines purchased by horsepower (HP), on wholesale engine sales for recreational craft sold in North America.

EMD members pay an assessment based on engines sold to marine distributors or dealers.
