Discover Boating Partners with American Century Championship for Second Year, July 12-14, to Reach Next Generation Boaters |
For the second year, Discover Boating is partnering with premier celebrity golf tournament, American Century Championship (ACC), and NBC Sports to bring the fun of boating to a new and engaged audience. Throughout the week July 12-14, Discover Boating’s new See You Out Here campaign spots, including “Voices” and “Beyond the Diamond” will air on the Golf Channel during live coverage and throughout its scheduled programming, as well as on NBC during live coverage of the Championship. “After a successful experience with American Century Championship last summer, which included increased exposure of Discover Boating and the boating lifestyle among a large audience of potential boaters, we are excited for the opportunity to team up with this iconic, star-studded event again,” said Kevin Williams, NMMA's vice president of North American marketing. “Through an enhanced marketing strategy, Discover Boating is poised to drive additional buzz and awareness among our target audience and meet them in a space where they are naturally interested and already listening.” Discover Boating’s marketing mix features strategic branding and advertising, social media and influencer content generation, signage, giveaways and a brand ambassador partnership. The brand will have a strong presence both on and off the water with a roving boat to capture unique perspectives from the lake as well as an interactive booth staffed with brand ambassadors who will be engaging and collecting information from fans. In 2023, ACC drew record crowds of more than 75,000 fans to Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course. Averaging 1.4 million viewers, NBC Sports’ coverage of the tournament resulted in the event’s most-watched final round in nearly 20 years.
