Discover Boating, Progressive Insurance Increase Video Views Through Connected TV Platforms |
This summer, Discover Boating, in collaboration with Progressive Insurance, launched a new television public service announcement (PSA) campaign to raise awareness of boating safety and the benefits of boating. The PSA distribution includes thousands of local, regional and national news stations across the country such as ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX affiliates and more. In addition to the traditional PSA, Discover Boating and Progressive strategically leveraged the popularity of Connected TV to amplify video views, as millions of viewers embrace streaming platforms such as Roku and Hulu for on-demand content. To date, the “Pet Safety” episode has generated more than 340,000 views, achieving an impressive view through rate (VTR) of 98.9% - higher than the industry average of 89% - which suggests the content is engaging. Top performing networks and channels include Bloomberg Business News, The Weather Channel, Fox News Channel and Samsung TV Plus. Stay tuned for more updates related to the PSAs throughout the year. |
